Our clinical director has co-founded or directed nine successful In-Patient and Out-Patient recovery centers. His unique and effective blend of Educational lectures, Group and Individual Therapy, Twelve Step Process, Family Counseling and Medical Supervision has evolved over the years into a comprehensive approach that works.

At most people already know stopping the use of drugs and alcohol can be easy. In reality, staying clean & sober is the problem. This is due to biological imbalances, a lack of education, understand and positive coping mechanisms.

Co-Occurring Disorders

A significant number of today’s patients have co-occuring disorders. Psychological disorders or cross addictions (Food, Sex, Love, Co-dependency, Gambling, Etc) and must be given equal priority with the presenting chemical dependency issues.

Failure to do so almost always results in relapse.

Prior to co-founding Exodus Recovery Inc. in 1985, our director trained at the Columbia University Psychiatric Institute, where he eventually held the position of Nursing Administrator. With over 15 years of experience in the psychiatric field Mr. Chatoff holds a unique and rare ability to provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans that address multiple issues with proper prioritization.

Our goal at Exodus is to help strengthen and rebuild the bonds between our clients and their bio-families. We understand that for many that enter our doors most if not all trust has been lost between them and the rest of their family. With the clients permission we are happy to speak with family members to help guide them through this difficult time with the use of didactic lectures, process groups and individual therapy. We understand that the decision to enter treatment and then sober living is the beginning of a healing process for the whole family, and our knowledgeable staff is always available to help guide you through this process in a loving way.
